1:1 or group?
This month I began to offer 1:1 work again. For the last few years I have worked mainly with groups, as I was guided to bring through work that put the earth at the centre in community. Within this I would offer 1:1 as a part of a course curriculum and so I have continued to work with many sessions a week within course contexts.
And now, suddenly, the nudge to work with people individually on a wider scale has come through. Why is this? The reason has been a calling to support the development of a clearer 'Life Path', both in myself and in those who are called to work with me. We are meeting the surge of a new wave of visionary consciousness in the story of our planet. Clarity of purpose is needed individually in order for it to manifest in the collective. We have to have alignment and a capacity to channel spirit in a clear way to do this work.
I certainly have felt the need to be even more attentive and in my guided place in the story of the earth over these last months. I have felt a sense of urgency to attend to the imbalance on our planet. It seems that there is to be no avoiding seeing this right now. As the world heats up I have had conversations with some of the emerging generation of young people who are actually planning their lives to visit places and do things before it gets out of hand. This is so worrying.
It is time to get serious and up the focus on spiritual healing. The job of the shaman has always been to help balance and assist communication and harmony through the many planes of being. For those of us who heed the shamanic calling, it is even more imperative that we get out there in our own ways to do the work of listening, consulting the spirit worlds and helping to do what we can.
The work I can do in groups has powerful impact. It gathers together people in conversations with the earth. The work I can do individually is to help disentangle people from what is holding them back or creating doubt, hence clouding over confidence or impulse. It is 4 pm Monday. My week has begun with four deep reaching sessions looking at supporting people with the task of looking forwards into this vision of who they are in life and how they can be of effect and feel fulfilment. I am intending to fill my working days with sessions like these over the next three months with a hyper focus on supporting life paths to unfold.
With my group work, I will be visiting the earth sites that are representing the old volcanoes of the land for the Fire of the Earth Soul course. We will be working with the element of fire and will be listening to the elemental fire keepers to what will support the healing of the earth and the living of our own innate fire in these times. The course also includes two healing sessions. I am very much looking forward to feeling the group opening up to the story for the earth and healing through listening to fire. The work I do in Falkland with people centres around one of the land sites in this course - the Lomond Hills. I will be opening the gateways and energetic conversations with Fire of the Earth Soul course through the Earth Listening retreat and the first of the Guided by the Elements Wednesday classes in Falkland in September and October.
Clarity of focus and support from the many planes for the vision moving forwards is where I am headed with my shamanic work. I am committed to supporting the group and individual work of those I work with and whose work I trust deeply as we go along by sharing details on their courses and work too.
We need community working at a deep level and we need the support of those who have the skills to hold space for us and who listen carefully.
I am beginning a set of 1:1 sessions for myself with someone this week. I am also attending some group movement classes as a way of understanding my way of relating with the field of life, and as a way of releasing some habits and old patterns and finding healthier new ways of being on my life path.
1:1 or group? A little of both where it is needed is called for I feel.
